The Water Table

Now that Emmerson is feeling so much better, that new water table I got for her as an early first birthday present (not from Walmart, of course) is apparently a big hit.

We played with it for a little while tonight after dinner (and after picking her up from her new daycare, but more on that another time).

I'm not sure why I bothered to roll up Emmerson's sleeves, though. Silly me! As you can see, she soaked herself with her wild splashing. I have the water table in my kitchen right now so a little water flying around doesn't matter. It's so much fun watching Emmerson having so much fun!

I would definitely recommend this water table for toddlers. It does skid around on my linoleum floor, but I simply anchor it against my table. And the waterfall thing isn't securely attached, but those are minor irritations. Overall, it seems like a great toy for the winter doldrums when stuck inside and for a way to beat the summer heat. (It also makes a good oversized water dish for the dog, as we have discovered!)
