This is what poor Miss Emmerson woke up to:
Yep, it worsened over night, and her eye was completely swollen shut. And a couple other mosquito bites on her forehead had blistered, apparently in a reaction to the topical antibiotic cream! Since we are out of town, we went to an immediate care clinic near my parents' house. We had efficient, friendly service, and Emmerson got some steroids and benadryl. Hopefully nothing will get infected and she'll now recover quickly.
(P.S. She weighed in at 23 pounds.)

Well, I have certainly chuckled at the comments left by your other visitors. But I just feel awful for poor Emmerson!!! I hope the meds have already kicked in. That's a horrible reaction.
Hope her eye's back to normal - Parker just had this same thing happen starting last Thursday - took a good 2 1/2 days to look almost normal again.
Poor baby!!!! Annslee used to get like this with bug bites but doesn't now. I really thought it was an Asian thing as it happened to a lot of her little Chinese friends but apparently not : )
Hope she is on the mend!
Thanks for all the well wishes. Emme is doing much better. The swelling is continuing to go down and the blisters on her forehead are starting to heal. Hoping for no more mosquito bites!
I hope her eye is doing better now, who would have thought the antibiotic cream would have caused such a reaction! Get better Ms. Emmerson!
